Just... *guh*.
Never in a million years would I have expected them to write a scene with Gibbs just flat-out calling Daddy DiNozzo to task for his sucky fatherhood. Maybe something about how "Tony can't do his job because you're distracting him", sure. Some barbed comments, yeah. But laying it all out there in plain text? And referencing the plague? The stuff of fanfic. Only, y'know, written in-character and with 98% less saccharine and freaking *amazing* acting. I'm a puddle of goo.
I haven't been this thrilled with canon events in a TV show since Devil's Trap convinced me that yes, Eric Kripke *got it* and actually knew how to *use it*.
