Dealing with service people over the phone, and someone has to call you back.
They ask for your home number. You give it to them.
They ask for your work number. You give it to them.
They ask: "Which is the best way to reach you during business hours?"
"AT WORK." You tell them.
9 times out of 10 in this scenario, even though they've EXPLICITLY asked which number to use, I get home to a message on my answering machine because the idiots have called my home number and not even bothered to *try* the work number... which leaves me having to wait until the next day to have a chance of resolving whatever issue it is.
*sigh*
