(Apologies to folks seeing this twice - I'll get the hang of this cross-posting thing eventually. :P )

This is probably one of several Mag7 moments that'll be included... it's hard to pick just one. :)  But let's start with an iconic one that never fails to have me falling in love with these boys all over again.

Source: Magnificent Seven (TV) - One Day Out West
Moment: Did you just call me a cowboy?
Warning? None

Setup:  Our seven heroes arrive in town just as a confrontation is going on between Judge Orin Travis and the nephew of an influential rancher who's just killed a shopkeeper.

The Scene:

Commentary:  The highlight of this moment for me is (of course) Michael Biehn.  "Did you just call me a cowboy?"  "Not yet."  I could seriously could watch his delivery on those over and over and never get tired.  I'm sort of in awe of how he sells that mix of stone-cold threat wand smirky, laughing-at-you-to-your-face sort of humor, and just the right amount of arrogant gunfighter swagger.  It's such a step further along the acting scale than you'd get from 99% of other actors doing the "brooding man-in-black" archetype, there's really no comparison.   (Even though I know I'm not explaining it very well.  That's what the video clip is for.  :)  )

Anyway, there are other scenes I could've gone with to showcase my adoration of Chris Larabee, but there's so much else to love in this little exchange... the way the commentary pings around without missing a beat.  Buck moseying right into the bad guys' personal space without a care in the world and being so almighty *amused* by the proceedings.  Ezra with his ruffles and dust and snark. Josiah popping up out of nowhere in ways that shouldn't be possible for a dude who's so clearly built more for looming.  *flail*

Someone I met over on LJ in the Firefly fandom is a HUGE M7 fan, she's always encouraged me to try it. I've not gotten around to it yet though :(

Squee! One of my favourite scenes ever! This and his 'I heard you're fast/I heard that, too' delivery make me love him so hard! /drive by comment

I just watched this scene last night! Cuddled up close to the tv, grinning like an idiot. :P It's probably my favorite scene ever, next to "You've been a bad boy" XD
It's really the very teensiest taste of Chris's wry, subtle, OMG-killing-me-with-awesomeness, sense of humor :P I like that Chris has a sense of humor and he's not completely cold from the grief in his life.

Ah thank you so much for sharing this. Now I'm feeling all geeky-happy again. :D
