Podfic & Me

*drumroll*  Da - da da - DAH! 

I've been toying with the idea of recording some podfic for a while now, and my new-ish M7-obsession finally pushed me around to doing it.

I started with one of my favorite NotTasha stories, "Running", and have finally posted it.  Links:

This was *so* freakin' fun.  I've always loved reading aloud - I used to read aloud a lot when I was a kid anytime I could (i.e. when no one else was home to think I was crazy  ^_^ ) - and doing it for podfic has the added bonus of helping build the archive for others.  I had a bit of a dilemma over how to do the dialogue, considering I had no hope of matching the accents the boys have in the show, but I'm fairly happy with the results.  Very cool.

Yeah, I'm still definitely devoted to recording more podfic, though I'm having a bit of a struggle with it right now. I went on vacation, and since I've been back, I seem to have lost my mojo a bit. Can't seem to read without it getting all monotonous and sing-songy, and I'm really not happy with how the character voices are coming out anymore.

I've been forging ahead, though, and do hope to get the next one done in the next week or two.

Thanks for asking! :) It's nice to know there's an audience for them.

Yes, I think there's an audience. I often travel to my home town to visit my family, and I always carry my mp4 player with me. Why not listen to some good fic on the way?

You did a wonderful job with the story and I loved hearing that fic. I certainly hope that you are continuing with the podfic; Mag 7 has a lot of terrific stories and hearing them out loud just adds to that. Looking forward to more!
