Just posting in the interest of having something recent:

I'm not the most speedy fanfic reader ever, but I have been doing more fanfic reading than usual lately.  WK_Squee has some really excellent Weiss Kreuz fics posted that just made my month.  The Kapitel re-watch that we're doing over at WK_Fic_Finds has stirred up my love of Weiss quite a lot, so the influx of new stories was very welcome. :)

I've also been gradually slogging through Yuletide.  I was making good progress at first, but then my computer died for a week and I lost my momentum.  I want to get through everything posted in any fandom where I have enough familiarity with the characters to at least know whether the author has captured the source well or not.

I'm keeping a grand-high-list of fics that I loved best to post at the end, but I think the one that's sticking with me most thus far is "Wearing the Sod Gown" (http://yuletidetreasure.org/archive/63/wearingthe.html), an epilogue to Laputa: Castle in the Sky.  It's a beautiful coming-of-age story that follows directly from the movie and really captures the kind of straightforward sort of charm of Sheeta & Pazu's growing relationship while making some logical assumptions about how rudderless Sheeta would feel once the rush of the adventure wears off and she has to settle into "real life".
