I got caught up on Dr. Who Season 3 this past week. I'm not feeling the love. Martha could've been a pretty kick-ass character if they had resisted the urge to go down the companion-in-love road with her. It pisses me off quite a bit, actually. One of the wonderful things about Dr. Who is the way the character dynamics are always changing as companions/Doctors come and go. Could they really come up with *nothing* better for an intelligent professional to do as a companion than moon around being jealous of Rose? The whole season pushed Rose over the edge into Mary Sue territory for me, I'm afraid. (Alors. I don't think I'm bound for serious fandom for this series anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter all *that* much.)
In other news: Kinda obsessing over the Fantastic Four right now. The new movie wasn't anything special, but I guess there were enough of the vaguely angsty-hurt-comforty Torch moments to set my fangirl gears a-churning. Torch/Spidey is definitely appealing - though I think this is my first slash OTP where there's a major canon s.o. to be considered. It's quite a dilemma.
