Bummer. I'd heard that Full Metal Panic? Fomoffu was more a high school comedy than anything continuing the military stuff from the first season, but I was hoping it would somehow wow me anyway...sorry to hear it's disappointing. :(
For Happy Lesson, I think the thing that put it over-the-top for me was the Washu-wannabe chemistry teacher. That stuff worked in Tenchi because of the nature of the series, but it didn't work for me here and pushed me over from "stale, but cute" to "complete rip off of other anime".
