Podfic Blooper Fun

I am so vastly amused at how the brain works (or doesn't) sometimes.

Reading the sentence "...he feels like Josiah has just leaned over the gunwale of a boat and scooped him out of a stormy sea."

I read the line 6-10 times in this recording, because I was having unrelated issues with it, and didn't realize until I got up and walked away for a few minutes that I'd been saying "...gunwale of a ship..." the whole time.  I've caught myself doing things like that before, where my mouth just decides to substitute or rearrange words.  (Lord knows it happens to me often enough in real life, too.)

Now I'm wondering how many times it's happened that I *didn't* catch it.  Ugh.  ^_^

*grin* Yup. When my brain isn't being sneaky and changing things around, anyway. :)

I'm pretty much done with the recording (I think). Now I just have to edit, edit, edit. I definitely want to get it posted during Amplificathon, just to have contributed *something*.

That happens to me when I just plain read a fic, and it doesn't surprise me that your mind is trying to replace a word while you're trying to record one. And I can't wait for you to finish your new recording, especially since it's of a fic I like very much!

I've been trying to find a way to illustrate it, and I have a bunch of failed attempts but I can't pull it off. I'm afraid I'll have to wait until I have more free time on my hands.

Heh... I feel your pain on the illustration effort. :)

Since I'm providing podbook (MP4) versions of my files, I want to include cover-art... but I have no idea what I'm going to do for this one. Graphics are *so* not my thing.
