I have loved Full Metal Panic since I first saw it in NewType. Since then, I have gotten each volume as it comes out on release day. I'm happy to say that I just completed the collection this past Tuesday. :) It's a wonderful story, and the characters will stick with you for a long time. Look at me. I've been using Sousuke for my online persona for some time now. ;o)
You'll really like the rest of the story, and you'll find yourself wanting more, which you'll feel disappointed with when Full Metal Panic? Fomoffu comes out. There's rumors, but nothing solid about a third FMP series.
I got the same Happy Lesson disc that you did, and it was so cute, and so funny, even though it was the whole 'been there done that' thing that I've seen in half a dozen anime titles already. After that, I ordered the first volume, and laughed my butt off throughout the disc.
Hope you don't mind, but I added you to my list. Not too many Otakus when it comes to Ex Isle. ;o)
